Attended Burial at Sea & Scattering of Ashes from Carolina Beach NC

Honor your loved one with an attended burial at sea and scattering of ashes aboard the Wild Rover III from Carolina Beach, NC. Captain Dave Tilley and crew provide a dignified, compassionate service where family and friends can gather offshore to say goodbye. We sail 3+ nautical miles out to conduct a personal and memorable burial at sea ceremony, surrounded by the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean.

Our attended burial at sea services depart from Carolina Beach Municipal Marina, serving families from Wilmington, Southport, Kure Beach, and surrounding areas. Your family and guests are welcomed aboard the Wild Rover III, a comfortable 52-foot sportfishing vessel featuring air conditioning, restroom, shaded cabin, and seating for up to 6 passengers.

Once offshore beyond 3 nautical miles, we will conduct your scattering of ashes at sea ceremony with care and dignity. You may say words, offer prayers, and gently release ashes into the sea. Captain Dave can also provide the exact GPS coordinates of the ceremony if desired.

We take great pride in helping families honor their loved ones at sea. Whether you want a quiet, private moment or a shared celebration of life, we will ensure a smooth, respectful, and memorable experience for all aboard.

Here’s what families are saying about their experience with Captain Dave and Wild Rover III Burial at Sea services

★★★★★

“Dave and Brandon were great. This was the first time taking our 6 year old out and they were sure to make it the best for him. Brandon was patient and did an amazing job explaining how to pull the fish in and handing the twisted line (we did) without complaining once. Dave was friendly and extremely hospitable and help us plan the right trip to fit us. We were on the fish all day. I will be returning and will be booking with them again. Thanks again Dave and Brandon for a great trip.”

“Captain Dave and first mate Blake gave us a great afternoon of fishing. Caught lots of Spanish mackerel. Blake did a great job cleaning and bagging them after the trip. They did a great job entertaining our 9 year old. He even got to drive the boat. The 9 year-old got to reel in the downriggers because we weren't sure he could reel in the actual poles, which was perfect!”
