Attended Burial at Sea & Scattering of Ashes from Carolina Beach NC
Honor your loved one with an attended burial at sea and scattering of ashes aboard the Wild Rover III from Carolina Beach, NC. Captain Dave Tilley and crew provide a dignified, compassionate service where family and friends can gather offshore to say goodbye. We sail 3+ nautical miles out to conduct a personal and memorable burial at sea ceremony, surrounded by the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean.
Our attended burial at sea services depart from Carolina Beach Municipal Marina, serving families from Wilmington, Southport, Kure Beach, and surrounding areas. Your family and guests are welcomed aboard the Wild Rover III, a comfortable 52-foot sportfishing vessel featuring air conditioning, restroom, shaded cabin, and seating for up to 6 passengers.
Once offshore beyond 3 nautical miles, we will conduct your scattering of ashes at sea ceremony with care and dignity. You may say words, offer prayers, and gently release ashes into the sea. Captain Dave can also provide the exact GPS coordinates of the ceremony if desired.
We take great pride in helping families honor their loved ones at sea. Whether you want a quiet, private moment or a shared celebration of life, we will ensure a smooth, respectful, and memorable experience for all aboard.

“We had a great time on our 5 hour trip. Captain Dave Tilley & Adam were very welcoming and made sure we had a great time. We caught 31 Spanish on our trip & couldn't of asked for a better time. Can't wait to book another trip and highly recommend if looking to catch fish and have a fun trip!”
Christine Wooten“This was my first ocean fishing experience and it was amazing! Captain Bob and Nolan were great! We caught so many fish! Definitely will go again!”
Kayce Wilson“We chartered the Wild Rover III to scatter a family member's ashes at sea. Captain Dave did a great job and made the event very special for us. We especially appreciated his experience doing that kind of thing, turning three circles around the spot before departing the area, and presenting us with a certificate with the coordinates for where we did the ceremony.”
